[smartslider3 slider=2]Schools Sports
The Camissa Sports Development Schools programmes currently focuses on soccer but will be rapidly expanding to other sports including athletics and swimming. Our soccer program provide extramural soccer training to schools on the schools premises as part of the school sports curriculum.
With our programme, we aim to achieve the following:
- Encouraging students to participate in a sport by expose them to as many sports as possible beyond the normal top 4 sports in SA
- Invite scholars to experience different sports by holding demonstrations at the school or inviting scholars to attend open days at our premises
- Create programs at schools and provide training and coaching on school premises
- Create programs for children in informal settlements to expose them to various sports from a young age, by engaging with existing pre-school learning and after school care facilities.
- Develop coaches and trainers in the community and schools to run these programs
How it works:
- Classes will take place after formal school hours.
- We provide qualified coaches with first aid accreditation.
- Coaches will always have necessary equipment like balls, bibs, cones etc. in the case of soccer.
- Coaches will also always have a medical kit at the class.
Our soccer training will include the following:
- Teach the rules of the game and the importance of safety when playing the game
- Importance of playing as a team
- Skills training ; ball control, passing, player positions, game formation, strategic playing and most important having fun.
As part of the programme, we will be able to organize friendly games with other schools as well as manage the school league requirements. We will also be able to also supply officials for school games (additional costs may apply)
